Jobbigt (2025)

Jobbigt (which means annoying, or tough, in Swedish) is the first dance piece by Ofelia Jarl Ortega made for a younger audience. Together, Marcus Baldemar, Ane Carlsen, Andrew Hardwidge and Laura Linna address the existential issues of being in a group together, sometimes getting what you want, sometimes not.

There is a lot to be done. Four dancers are trying to figure out how to get it done in the best way. There is a lot of working going on and pretending to work.

A show for kids (4-9 years old) and their adults – or for anyone’s inner kid.
After the performance, the audience is invited to experience and explore the stage.

“It’s the first piece I do for a younger audience, but I haven’t changed my way of working, believing kids get abstract art and dancing no matter their age!”
– Ofelia Jarl Ortega, choreographer.
